MOSCOW, 22 Jul – Uruguayan Dynamo Moscow football player Guillermo Varela will soon move to Brazilian Flamengo, according to ESPN journalist Juan Arango on Twitter.
In June, the International Football Federation (FIFA) extended permission to suspend contracts with Russian clubs for foreign players until June 2023. Earlier, Paraguayan defender Fabian Balbuena suspended the contract with Dynamo and joined the Brazilian club Corinthians.
Varela moved to Dynamo from Danish Copenhagen in the summer of 2021. The agreement with the player was concluded until the end of June 2023. As part of the “white-blue” he spent 48 matches. The 29-year-old played the entire match against Rostov (1:1) in the first round of the Russian Premier League on July 17.
