MOSCOW, 17 Aug – Forward LeBron James has agreed to a contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), according to ESPN.
He will extend the contract for two seasons, for which he will receive 97.1 million dollars. Thanks to this, the total salary of James for a career will be a record in the history of the NBA – $ 532 million. The previous record was held by Kevin Durant.
James has represented the Lakers since 2018 and is a four-time NBA champion, two-time Olympian, four-time regular season and playoff MVP, an 18-time All-Star, and a three-time MVP of the game. In March, 37-year-old James became the second-most points scorer in NBA history, beating former Utah Jazz forward Karl Malone (36,928). The forward has 37062 points.
