MOSCOW, 21 July – Russian specialist Eduard Koksharov has been appointed head coach of Rostov-Don, according to the website of the women’s handball club.
Koksharov has already joined the team at the training camp in Zvenigorod. He replaced the Slovak Tomas Hlavati, who left the post of head coach of the club from Rostov-on-Don on Tuesday.
Koksharov was the captain of the Russian men’s team. Together with the national team, he won the gold of the 2000 Olympics and the bronze of the 2004 Games. He is also the world champion in 1997, the silver medalist of the World Championship – 1999 and the European Championship – 2000.
Koksharov began coaching in 2014. The specialist led the Krasnodar SKIF, the Macedonian “Vardar”, the Russian men’s team.
