Former coach of “Ufa” Alexei Stukalov headed the “Rotor”
MOSCOW, June 27 – Alexei Stukalov has been appointed head coach of Rotor Volgograd, according to the official website of the football club.
The term of the contract with the 38-year-old specialist is not specified. Stukalov replaced Artem Kulikov.
Last season, Stukalov headed Ufa, which at the end of the season took 14th place in the standings of the Russian Premier League (30 points in 30 matches) and left the RPL, losing in the play-offs to Orenburg (2:2, 1: 2). In May, the club and the coach terminated the contract.
Rotor also announced the appointment of Fedor Shcherbachenko to the post of sports director.
Rotor will play in the Second League in the 2022/23 season.
