Ferencváros Cherchesov won the Hungarian Cup

MOSCOW, May 11 – Ferencváros beat Paks in the final of the Hungarian Football Cup.
The meeting at the Puskas Arena in Budapest ended with a score of 3:0 in favor of Ferencváros, goals were scored by Christopher Zakariassen (16th minute) and Frank Boly (83, 86).
Ferencváros has been headed by the former head coach of the Russian national team Stanislav Cherchesov since December 2021, this trophy was his second since his appointment. The club had previously won the Hungarian Championship. The specialist was recognized as the best coach of the month in March.
Cherchesov led the Russian national team from 2016 to 2021. At the 2018 World Cup at home, he led the team to the quarter-finals of the tournament. In 2016, the specialist led Legia Warsaw to victory in the championship and the Polish Cup.
Ferencváros won the trophy for the 24th time. The team also has 33 victories in the Hungarian Championship and six in the country’s Super Cup.
