MOSCOW, 5 Aug – The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) fined the Hungarian Ferencváros 79 thousand euros for the behavior of fans in the matches of the second qualifying round of the Champions League with the Bratislava Slovan, according to the website of the organization.
According to the sum of two meetings, the Hungarian team (1:2, 4:1) advanced to the next round, the head coach of which is the Russian specialist Stanislav Cherchesov.
Ferencváros has been fined for displaying racism by fans, using pyrotechnics, throwing foreign objects and blocking passageways. The club is banned from selling tickets for its fans to the next away match in European competition for racist behavior of fans.
The club was also punished with a partial closure of the stands (at least 1000 seats) for one home match. UEFA has ordered Ferencváros to contact Slovan within 30 days to pay damages for the 20 broken seats.
