FIFA strips Indonesia of right to host World Youth Championship
MOSCOW, 29 Mar – The International Football Federation (FIFA) has stripped Indonesia of the right to host the 2023 Youth World Cup, according to the organization’s website.
The decision was made after a meeting between the head of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, and the president of the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI), Eric Tohir. The new host of the tournament will be announced as soon as possible. FIFA also announced possible sanctions against PSSI.
Earlier, the governor of the island of Bali, Vayan Koster, called for the Israeli team not to be allowed to compete.
