German midfielder Mario Gotze has signed a contract with Eintracht
MOSCOW, June 21 – Frankfurt football club “Eintracht” on the official website announced that he had signed a contract with the world champion in the German national team Mario Götze.
The agreement with the 30-year-old football player is calculated until 2025.
“I am incredibly happy to join Eintracht. This club has made significant progress and has embarked on an exciting and ambitious journey that I can now accompany them on. The negotiations quickly showed that we have the same goals and ideas. I am really looking forward to my return to Bundesliga, as well as a chance to play in the Champions League,” Götze said.
Götze is a two-time German champion with Borussia Dortmund and a three-time national championship winner with Bayern Munich. Since 2020, the German has played for the Dutch PSV, scored 12 goals and provided 11 assists in 52 matches in various tournaments.
In the final match of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Götze scored Germany’s golden goal against Argentina (1-0 after extra time). In total, the midfielder played 63 matches for the national team, scoring 17 goals.
Eintracht Frankfurt won the Europa League in the 2021/22 season and will play in the Champions League group stage next season.
