PSG footballer Diallo detained by the police in the case of an attack on a teammate
MOSCOW, Nov 10 – The Paris Saint-Germain footballer Aminata Diallo was detained by the police in the attack on another player of the women’s team of the French club, Heiru Hamraoui, according to the official website of PSG.
The incident took place on Thursday evening, November 4. According to Eurosport, citing L’Equipe, at about 22:30 local time, Diallo gave Hamraoui a lift home after a team dinner in her car, and two strangers in balaclavas were waiting on the way to Hamraoui’s house. The criminals beat Hamraoui in the legs with an iron bar, for which she was hospitalized.
According to media reports, the police are currently checking Diallo’s involvement in the attack, suspecting that she may have organized the crime due to internal rivalry with Hamraui in the team for a place in the starting lineup.
The press service of PSG, in turn, notes that the club continues to work closely with law enforcement agencies in this investigation to identify and punish those responsible.
