MOSCOW, 21 July – The former captain of the Ukrainian futsal team Yevgeny Ivanyak returned to the Nizhny Novgorod “Torpedo”, which he left in March of this year for family reasons.
“Difficult family circumstances that forced Zhenya to leave Russia in March of this year have been successfully overcome, and the experienced goalkeeper is back with us and is ready to please the devoted audience with spectacular saves and mind-blowing kicks,” the club’s VKontakte page says.
“I am glad to return to our team and once again become part of the structure of the IFC Torpedo, where all the conditions have been created to do what you love and achieve sports heights,” said 39-year-old Ivanyak.
The goalkeeper has been defending the colors of Torpedo since June 2020, when the team made it to the big leagues. Ivanyak played for the Ukrainian national team from 2005 to 2020.
