Mohamed Salah Named PFA Player of Year for Third Time, Sets New Football Records

Mohamed Salah earned Professional Footballers’ Association Player of Year award third time at Manchester ceremony. Liverpool star, nearly leaving, secured new contract dramatically. Last season, he scored 29 goals, leading Premier League since 831 minutes.

“I looked at myself, playing top-level football, creating history. This award makes me proud,” Salah said. He outshone Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, six others, setting new record.

Spanish midfielder Aitana Bonmatí claimed women’s Player of Year. First season, she netted 19 goals, despite Champions League-winning team losing to former club Barcelona in final. Bonmatí reached championship with Spain’s national squad.

Emerging talent Morgan Rogers, 23, took men’s Young Player award. Last season, he scored 14 goals in 54 matches. Women’s rising star Salma Paralluelo set world record, scoring seven goals in debut match, later earning record-breaking transfer fee and title at 18.
