Two-time winner of the Gagarin Cup Timkin became a hockey player “Salavat Yulaev”
MOSCOW, May 6 – Two-time winner of the Gagarin Cup as part of Metallurg Magnitogorsk Evgeny Timkin signed a contract with Salavat Yulaev, according to the official Telegram channel of the Ufa KHL club.
The agreement with the 31-year-old striker is for two seasons. Also “Salavat Yulaev” has signed a contract for a period of one season with another striker – Stanislav Bocharov.
Timkin played for Metallurg from 2013 to 2020, before that he played in the KHL for Avangard Omsk (2008-2010) and Vityaz near Moscow (2011-2013). The forward won the Gagarin Cup with the Magnitogorsk team in 2014 and 2016. The striker spent the last two seasons in St. Petersburg SKA.
In total, Timkin played 725 games in the KHL, in which he scored 167 points (88 goals + 79 assists). He has 956 power moves and 356 blocked shots.
Bocharov is a graduate of Tatarstan hockey, he played for the first and second teams of the Kazan “Ak Bars”, as well as for the farm club of Kazan “Bars” and Almetyevsk “Neftyanik”. The striker spent the last two seasons in Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg, and previously played in the KHL for Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk, Admiral Vladivostok, Lada Togliatti, Sochi and Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod. On account of the 30-year-old striker 559 games in the KHL, in which he scored 206 points (98+108).
