Gaibov was re-elected as President of the European Gymnastics Union
MOSCOW, 3 Dec – Azerbaijani Farid Gaibov was re-elected as President of the European Gymnastics Union (European Gymnastics), according to the organization’s Twitter page.
Gaibov, following the results of the voting, which took place during the meeting of the European Gymnastics Congress in Albufeira, Portugal, scored 44 votes (100%). He was the only candidate. Frenchman Michel Boutard, Norwegian Tom Thingvold and Slovenian Edvard Kolar became vice-presidents of the organization.
Gaibov is 43 years old. He took over European Gymnastics (formerly UEG) in 2017.
