Germany national tennis team reaches Davis Cup quarterfinals
MOSCOW, November 29 – German tennis players advanced to the quarter-finals of the Davis Cup after defeating the Austrians in a Group F match.
The meeting in Innsbruck (Austria) ended with the score 2-1. Dominik Koepfer (Germany) lost to Yuri Rodionov (Austria), Jan-Lennard Struff (Germany) was stronger than Dennis Novak (Austria), and Kevin Kravitz and Tim Puetz (Germany) defeated Oliver Marach and Philip Oswald (Austria).
The German national team has guaranteed itself the first place in the group and will play in the quarterfinals with the British team.
In another match of the day, the Colombian team defeated the USA – 2-1 and became the second in Group E. Italians advanced to the playoffs, who will face the Croats in the quarterfinals.
