MOSCOW, 19 Mar – Monaco midfielder Alexander Golovin will miss the March training camp of the Russian national football team due to an injury, according to the team’s Telegram channel.

Earlier, Golovin was included in the final composition of the Russian national team for the March training camp. Later, the Russian was diagnosed with muscle discomfort, he missed the team’s Sunday match in the French championship.

“Alexander Golovin will not take part in the March training camp due to problems with the adductor muscle of the thigh. In agreement with the medical headquarters of Monaco, the coaching staff of the national team decided not to risk Alexander’s health,” said Vladimir Khaitin, senior doctor of the Russian national team.

Earlier, the RFU officially announced the friendly match of the Russian team against the team of Iran, it will be held on March 23 in Tehran. A meeting against the Iraqi team in St. Petersburg is scheduled for March 26.
