Guinea was denied the right to host the African Cup of Nations due to the unavailability of infrastructure
MOSCOW, 1 Oct – The African Confederation of Football (CAF) has stripped Guinea of the right to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations due to unprepared infrastructure, Agence France-Presse reports citing CAF President Patrice Motsepe.
The Africa Cup of Nations was to be held in Guinea in the summer of 2025.
The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations has been postponed to early 2024 due to climate conditions. The tournament was supposed to be held in Côte d’Ivoire in June-July 2023, but has been postponed to January-February 2024.
