Hamilton considers Red Bull adviser’s apology to Perez insufficient
MOSCOW, September 15 – Seven-time Formula 1 champion, Briton Lewis Hamilton, considers Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko’s apology to the team’s Mexican driver Sergio Perez insufficient.
Earlier, Marco said that the Mexican is inferior to Dutch teammate Max Verstappen because he is not so focused on the track, and explained this by the fact that Perez is South American, although Mexico is located in North America. The functionary later apologized for his statement.
“I don’t know what was said next, you’ll have to ask Cheko, but I don’t think it’s something you can just apologize for and everything will be fine. I think more needs to be done. When individuals say things like that, especially the riders, but also the staff, the teams usually suspend them, or at least say that they do not support such things,” the Briton added.
According to Perez, Marco was not deliberately trying to offend him.
