MOSCOW, 20 Jul – Defender of the Novosibirsk “Siberia” Trevor Murphy was forced to urgently fly to Canada due to a serious illness of his father, according to the website of the club of the Continental Hockey League (KHL).
The player will miss part of the training before the start of the regular season of the KHL.
Murphy is 27 years old. Last season, he took part in 26 games of the regular season, in which he scored 19 points (6 goals + 13 assists), becoming the top scorer and sniper among the team’s defenders. In June, the Canadian signed a new one-year contract with Sibir.
