MOSCOW, May 12 – The wife of Pittsburgh Penguins striker Evgeni Malkin, Anna Kasterova, reacted to a brawl involving her husband that took place in the fifth game of the first round of the NHL playoffs against the New York Rangers.
During the game, Malkin poked Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin with a stick, after which New Yorkers defender Ryan Lindgren, number 55, stood up for the goalkeeper. He drove up to Malkin and jumped on him from behind, knocking him onto the ice, after which a brawl began.
“The 55th would be better off jumping on his wife like that,” Kasterova commented on the episode in her Telegram channel.
“Pittsburgh” was defeated in the match with a score of 3:5. Malkin’s team leads the series (3:2), the next match will be held on the night of May 14.
