MOSCOW, 25 Jul – The Moscow club of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) Dynamo received a lucrative monetary compensation for the transfer of the Czech striker Dmitry Yashkin to the St. Petersburg SKA, said the general manager of the Blue and White Alexei Sopin.
On Monday, SKA announced the exchange of Dmitry Yashkin, the contract with the 29-year-old striker is designed for one season.
“Dmitry Yashkin spent two seasons as part of the White-and-Blues, after which he decided to continue his career overseas. The rights to the hockey player remained with Dynamo Moscow. Now the player has decided to return to Russia. SKA Petersburg came to us with a very lucrative offer “We had several options for exchanging rights. We made a choice in favor of monetary compensation, which is beneficial for the club,” Sopin was quoted as saying by the Dynamo official website.
Last season, the athlete spent in the club of the National Hockey League (NHL) “Arizona Coyotes”, which, due to injury, played 12 games and made one assist. Also in the NHL, Yashkin played for the Washington Capitals and the St. Louis Blues.
In the KHL, the Czech forward played in the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons with Dynamo Moscow, which owned the rights to the player. In total, he played 133 games in the league, in which he scored 137 points (77 goals and 60 assists).
