“It is with great sorrow that we learned about the death of Tomek, who, as a Polish volunteer, fought in the International Legion of Defense of Ukraine and died there,” the publication says.
Valentek competed in amateur MMA tournaments. In 2021, he won the II MMA tournament in Gliwice.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the military special operation, 1,835 mercenaries from different countries have arrived in Ukraine, most of all from Poland. Of these, 544 have already been destroyed.
Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a military special operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine. Vladimir Putin called its task “the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.” According to the president, the ultimate goal of the operation is the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions that guarantee the security of Russia itself.
