In the second Test match played between India and New Zealand. New Zealand defeated India in the 2–0 Test series by winning by 7 wickets. India had given New Zealand a target of 132 runs to win.
New Zealand achieve this target by losing 3 wickets on the third day.

The Indian bowlers made the team return to the match on the second day. New Zealand’s first innings was reduced to 235. Mohammed Shami took 4 and Jaspreet Bumrah took 3 wickets.
Then in the second innings, India’s batting did not appear in rhythm and reduced to 124 runs. Due to which the Kiwi team got the target of 132 runs for the win. New Zealand won the first Test in Wellington by 10 wickets.
