Parsons: federations will accept any IPC decision on admitting Russia to the Paralympics
MOSCOW, 28 Aug – The head of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), Andrew Parsons, said that the federations will respect any decision of the organization to admit Russian and Belarusian athletes to the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
The issues of the membership of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) in the IPC and the admission of Russian athletes to the 2024 Paralympic Games will be considered at the general assembly of the organization in September.
In November 2022, the IPC at an extraordinary general assembly suspended the membership of the RPC in the organization. In March of the same year, due to the situation in Ukraine, the IPC decided not to allow Russians to participate in the Paralympics in Beijing.
