IPL 2020 BCCI Plans to add New Franchise: The Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad is getting ready and may be available by March next year to host the match.
One of the most talked-about cricket leagues in the world, the IPL, can be seen in this season ie IPL 2020. Now another team can be seen spreading its fire in it. Earlier, there were reports that this season two new teams of IPL may include BCCI but if the news is to be believed, now an attempt is being made to link the same team ie 9th team to this league. The BCCI does not currently have a tender plan for the two new IPL teams from 2020.
According to the news published in the Times of India, the BCCI wants to add only one new franchise next year. According to the news in the IPL, by 2022, 9 teams will be seen participating. Actually, the biggest reason behind this is believed to be that the BCCI currently lacks a window to host more than 90 matches.
In the future of the ICC, only 9 teams will get recognition due to which 76 matches will be played. At the same time, another reason is that BCCI is considering a base price of around Rs 2000 crore for the new franchise. However, the situation is not clear about this yet.
The news is even that this team joining next season will be from Gujarat. Because the Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad is getting ready and may be available by March next year to host the match. For this stadium with a capacity of 1.1 lakh, which will become the world’s largest cricket stadium, it does not seem to mean that it does not have its own franchise. Official confirmation is awaited regarding this.
