Before the start of the IPL (IPL 2021) match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals, it was reported that former SRH captain and veteran batsman David Warner is not on the field, about which there is a lot. Questions arose. But Hyderabad head coach Trevor Bayliss dismissed any controversy, saying, “The team had decided to accommodate David Warner at the hotel to give the young players a stadium experience.”
On the question of Sportskeeda in the press conference, Trevor Bayliss said about the absence of David Warner, ‘We have a lot of young players in our team and before this match we decided that we are going to make some changes in the team. But we decided to give opportunities to some young players who are not part of the 18 players and we had to bring them into the game. So give them a chance to come together and experience the game.
He further said that, ‘We have many players, who stayed in the hotel and they did not even have the experience of being on the field. So we want to give maximum experience to all those youths. So in this match David Warner, Kedar Jadhav and Shahbaz Nadeem were the three fit players, who did not come on the field today.
David Warner will no longer be seen playing in IPL 2021!
One viewer commented on David Warner on Instagram saying, ‘I am going to cry but you take some rest and make a tremendous comeback later.’ Seeing this support, David Warner wrote while replying that, ‘Unfortunately this will not happen again but you keep supporting.’ David Warner was removed from the captaincy of the team in the first phase of IPL 2021 due to poor form. But in the second phase too, he got opportunities on which he could not live up to it and again the team decided to drop him.
