Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma believes that winning the Test series in Australia is a big thing for any cricketer. He also said that he is very happy to be a part of this team which created history in Australia.
The Indian team captained by Virat Kohli toured Australia in 2018-19 and named the four-Test series. With this, he became the first Asian team to win the Test series in Australia.
Ishant, while speaking with his teammate Mayank Agarwal on BCCI TV, said, “Winning the Test series in Australia for the first time is a big thing for any cricketer. It was also big for me because I had done four times before that in Australia. I had visited and known how difficult it was. The team had the inspiration to create history in Australia.”
The Australian team did not have Steve Smith and David Warner on that tour. Both of them were facing a one-year ban due to ball-tampering. This time when the Indian team visits Australia, then it will be trying to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
