The owner of Spartak Fedun about leaving his post at Lukoil: this has nothing to do with football

MOSCOW, June 27 – The chairman of the board of directors of the Moscow football club Spartak, Leonid Fedun, said that his departure from the post of vice president of Lukoil for strategic development had nothing to do with football, and that he would continue to deal with the club.
On Monday, Fedun left the position of Lukoil’s vice president for strategic development “due to reaching retirement age and family circumstances.”
“This has nothing to do with football. I will continue to deal with Spartak – I will do everything so that our club, no matter what, lives and develops,” Fedun said, quoted by the press service of Spartak.
Fedun acquired a controlling stake in Spartak in 2004. With Fedun, the Red-Whites won the 2016/2017 Russian Championship, the 2017 Russian Super Cup, and the Russian Cup on May 29, defeating Dynamo Moscow in the final.
