MOSCOW, 14 Sep – Italian Sofia Raffaeli won the hoop and ball routine at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Sofia.
In the exercise with a hoop, she scored 34.850 points, the silver medalist was Stiliana Nikolova (33.400) from Bulgaria, the bronze medalist was Daria Varfolomeev from Germany (32.150).
In the exercise with the ball, her result was 34.900 points, the second was Varfolomeev (34.100), the third was the Italian Milena Baldassarri (32.400).
Russian and Belarusian gymnasts miss the World Championships due to a ban on participation in competitions by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) in connection with the events in Ukraine.
