MOSCOW, 19 Mar – Norwegian biathlete Johannes Boe won the mass start at the final stage of the World Cup in Holmenkollen (Norway).
The five-time Olympic champion, who previously won the big Crystal Globe ahead of schedule, covered the distance of 15 km in 38 minutes 51.9 seconds, with two misses on four firing lines. Second place went to Switzerland’s Niklas Hartweg (26.2 seconds back, 0 misses), while Norway’s Wetle Christiansen was third (+35.2; 0).
The Congress of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) in September 2022 upheld the suspension of Russian and Belarusian athletes from international competitions until further notice amid the situation in Ukraine.
