Tennis players Kalinskaya and Putintseva lost to Friedz and Kichenok at a tournament in Osaka
MOSCOW, September 16 – Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya, paired with Kazakhstan’s Yulia Putintseva, lost to German Anna-Lena Frieds and Ukrainian Nadezhda Kichenok in the final of the tournament in Osaka, Japan, the prize fund of which is almost 260 thousand dollars.
The meeting ended with a score of 7:6 (7:3), 6:3 in favor of Frieds and Kichenok. The duration of the match was 1 hour 33 minutes.
After the match, Ukrainian Kichenok shook hands with Moscow-born Putintseva, who competes under the flag of Kazakhstan, but did not shake hands with Kalinskaya.
Friedsam is 29 years old. She won her fourth Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) doubles title. 31-year-old Kichenok won the ninth tournament.
