Forward “Minnesota” Whims: glad to get to his first NHL All-Star Game

MOSCOW, 15 Jan – Russian striker “Minnesota” Kirill Kaprizov said he was glad to get to his first career All-Star Game of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Earlier, Kaprizov (Central Division), along with Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin and Tampa Bay goalkeeper Andrei Vasilevsky, were among the participants in the All-Star Game. In this case, Ovechkin will be the captain of the team of the Capital Division. The event will be held February 4-6 in Las Vegas (USA).
“I think it will be fun. All the star players will come together. As they say in English, it should be “fun”. I’m sure everyone will have a good time. It will be the first NHL All-Star Game for me, I’m very happy about it to get in. I’m sure I’ll enjoy it. Will I show some of my special tricks? I don’t know, we’ll see, “Kaprizov is quoted by the NHL website.
Earlier, Kaprizov missed the regular season meeting with the “Washington” (3:2, in shootouts in favor of the “Wild”) on January 8 due to injury.
“Of course, I wanted to play (against the Capitals), but, unfortunately, my health did not allow me to do it,” said the forward. “It’s good that the guys won. It was an important victory for our team. I really wanted to play “Not only against Ovechkin, but also against the rest of the (Russian) guys. They also have Samsonov in their roster, with whom we have played together all our lives in the junior and youth teams of Russia and have always lived in the same room. Plus Dima Orlov, who, like and I, also from Novokuznetsk. In the summer we always train together.”
“How to play against Russian guys? I don’t know that,” Kaprizov added (with a smile). “I just know the guys themselves, plus it’s always more fun to be on the ice with familiar guys. this.”
