Serebryakov, Bush and Nikishin were recognized as the best hockey players of the quarterfinals of the Gagarin Cup
MOSCOW, 30 Mar – Admiral Vladivostok goalkeeper Nikita Serebryakov, SKA Petersburg defender Alexander Nikishin and Avangard Omsk forward Reed Boucher were named the best players in the Gagarin Cup quarterfinals, according to the KHL official website.
Serebryakov became the best goalkeeper of the second round of the playoffs. The goalkeeper of “Admiral” played all six matches of the series against the Kazan “Ak Bars” (2-4), having won two victories and one shutout. Serebryakov saved 95.32% of 235 shots on goal, in the fifth match of the series (2:1) he made 49 saves. Serebryakov became the second goalkeeper in KHL history to be the best in both the 1/8 and 1/4 finals of the Gagarin Cup, after SKA’s Mikko Koskinen, who achieved this achievement in 2016.
