Klebo won the sprint at the World Cup in cross-country skiing in Lillehammer
MOSCOW, 3 Dec – Norwegian Johannes Klebo became the winner in the sprint at the second stage of the World Cup in cross-country skiing, which takes place in Lillehammer, Norway.
In the final, he showed the result of 2 minutes 56.45 seconds. Italian Federico Pellegrino finished second (0.75 seconds back), third was Norwegian Even Northug (+1.23).
In the women’s sprint, Sweden’s Emma Ribom won (3:20.40), her compatriot Maja Dahlqvist (+0.17) took second place, and Norway’s Tiril Veng finished third (+1.11).
The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) suspended the Russians and Belarusians from the final starts of last season due to the situation in Ukraine. In October, the FIS Council extended the suspension for the 2022/23 season.
The stage in Lillehammer will end on December 4th.
