MOSCOW, 16 Sep – Forward “Rostov” Nikolai Komlichenko, who received a call to the Russian national football team, said that he had not been called up to the national team for a long time, as he was not in the best shape.
On September 19-22, the Russian national team will train at the base in Novogorsk, after which they will go to Bishkek, where on September 24 they will play a friendly match against the Kyrgyz team. 28 players were called to the training camp, 12 of them for the first time.
“I can’t say that I sat and waited for a call to the national team, but I hoped. When I got on the extended list, it became even more interesting. told me and other guys from Rostov in advance that he would call me to the national team,” the striker added.
Earlier, the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) published a joint statement according to which Russian teams and clubs were suspended from participation in all international competitions for an indefinite period. In mid-July, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) dismissed appeals against this decision.
