Kryvbas appealed to UPL clubs with an appeal to spend the season on the territory of Ukraine

MOSCOW, June 20 – The football club “Kryvbas” from Krivoy Rog on its official website called on the clubs of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) to hold a national championship in the country.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Football Association announced its intention to hold the season, despite the conflict with Russia. Later, information appeared in the Ukrainian media about the possible performance of some teams in the championship on the territory of other countries.
“Kryvbas” appeals to all UPL participants, managers and owners of clubs. We ask you to support the option of holding the 2022/23 season only in Ukraine! There is no other option, neither from a moral point of view, nor from the point of view of a sporting principle. We must do everything so that each club has equal conditions! We must not forget about the future of Ukrainian football. By saving individual clubs today, we risk losing all Ukrainian football in the future,” the statement said.
According to the results of the 2021/22 season, Kryvbas made it to the UPL, finishing second in the First League. The championship was completed ahead of schedule after 20 rounds due to the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine.
