MOSCOW, May 13 – Russian tennis players Veronika Kudermetova and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova reached the 1/2 finals at the tournament in Rome in doubles.
In the meeting of the 1/4 finals, the Russians with a score of 7:6 (7:4), 6:3 defeated the Australian Storm Sanders and the representative of China Zhang Shuai, who had the first seed. The duration of the match was 1 hour 31 minutes.
In the semi-finals of the tournament in Rome, which has a prize pool of over $2.8 million, Kudermetova and Pavlyuchenkova will face Desiree Krawczyk of the United States and Demi Schurs of the Netherlands.
