Russian tennis player Kudermetova climbed to second place in the WTA doubles rankings

MOSCOW, 8 Nov – Russian Veronika Kudermetova climbed to second place in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) doubles ranking, an updated version of which appeared on the official website of the organization.
Kudermetova paired with Belgian Elise Mertens became the winner of the final WTA tournament in Fort Worth (USA, Texas). After this success, the Russian woman with 6035 points moved up three positions, and Mertens (5310 points) moved up four positions, finishing fifth. The leader in the doubles ranking is Katerina Sinyakova (6890) from the Czech Republic.
There were two changes in the top ten of the WTA singles rankings. The winner of the final tournament, Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, moved up from sixth to fourth position, and finalist Arina Sobolenko from Belarus became fifth. The first line is occupied by the Polish Iga Swiatek.
