Tennis player Kudermetova: with the score 2:7 Mertens said that we must remain positive
MOSCOW, 8 Nov – Russian Veronika Kudermetova said that she cheered on her Belgian partner Elise Mertens during an unsuccessful super tie-break in the final of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) final tournament in doubles.
In the final of the tournament, which was held in Fort Worth (USA, Texas), Kudermetova and Mertens beat the representatives of the Czech Republic Barbora Kreychikova and Katerina Sinyakova with a score of 6:2, 4:6, 11:9. At the super tie-break, the Russian and the Belgian lost with a score of 2:7.

Mertens noted that she did not remember the score at the tie-break. “Last year I was close to winning. I think we played very consistently in this tournament. And yes, I can’t even believe we won. Was it 2-7 in the super tie-break? I didn’t even I can remember the score,” said the Belgian.
During the tournament, Kudermetova and Mertens also won matches with couples Lyudmila Kichenok / Elena Ostapenko, Anna Danilina / Beatrice Haddad-Maya, Gabriela Dabrowski / Giuliana Olmos and Desire Krawczyk / Demi Schurs.
