Russian Kudermetova withdrew from the tournament in Bad Homburg due to a back injury
MOSCOW, June 19 – Russian tennis player Veronika Kudermetova withdrew from the tournament in Bad Homburg, Germany due to a back injury, according to the competition page on Twitter.
In the main draw of the competition, Kudermetova will be replaced by Japanese Misaki Doi. In the first round, the Russian woman was supposed to meet with compatriot Anna Kalinskaya. Now Frenchwoman Alize Cornet will play with her.
The tournament in Bad Homburg takes place from 18 to 25 June. The current winner is German Angelique Kerber.
