MOSCOW, September 16 – The head coach of the Nizhny Novgorod football club, Sergei Yuran, said that the Russian-Georgian team newcomer Nikoloz Kutateladze was told in France to renounce his citizenship, otherwise he would not play.

On Friday, the Nizhny Novgorod team played a draw with Dynamo Moscow in the eighth round match of the Russian Football Championship. The meeting, which took place on Friday in Moscow, ended with the score 1:1, the guests’ goal was scored by 22-year-old Kutateladze.

Kutateladze moved in November 2018 from the PSG academy to Anzhi Makhachkala, and in January 2019 he ended up in Spartak Moscow. In the summer of 2022, the striker moved to the Rodez club, which plays in the French second division. In September 2023, Kutateladze became a football player for Nizhny Novgorod, signing a contract with the club for three seasons.
