Leclerc to start from last row in Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix

MOSCOW, June 18 – Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc in the ninth round of the Formula 1 championship – the Canadian Grand Prix – will start from the last row, according to the official website of the championship.
The fine is related to the change of the internal combustion engine, MGU-H and MGU-K motor generators and turbocharger on the Leclerc car in excess of the established limits for the season.
Leclerc will be joined by Alpha Tauri’s Yuki Tsunoda, who also received a fine for changing parts of the power plant, from the last row of the grid.
Leclerc on Friday in the first free practice took fifth place, in the second session he showed the second result, in the third he did not take part. In the standings of the championship Monegasque is third, behind the pilots of Red Bull Mexican Sergio Perez and championship leader Max Verstappen from the Netherlands.
Later on Saturday, the circuit named after Gilles Villeneuve will qualify for the Canadian Grand Prix.
