MOSCOW, September 16 – Liverpool won a strong-willed victory over Wolverhampton in the match of the 5th round of the English Football Championship.

The meeting, which took place on Saturday in Wolverhampton, ended with a score of 3:1. Hwang Hee Chan scored for the hosts (7th minute), goals for the visitors were scored by Cody Gakpo (55), Andrew Robertson (85) and Harvey Elliott (90+1), all three assists were provided by Mohamed Salah.

Thanks to this victory, Liverpool gained 13 points and took first place in the standings, beating Manchester City (12 points) with a game in hand. Wolverhampton (3 points) are in 15th position.
