MOSCOW, May 11 – The Los Angeles Kings defeated the Edmonton Oilers in Game 5 of the National Hockey League (NHL) first-round playoff series.
The main time of the meeting, held in Edmonton, ended with the score 4:4 (1:0, 2:1, 1:3). Troy Stecher (4th minute), Adrian Kempe (30), Andreas Athanasiou (34), Phillip Dano (52) scored for the Kings. The hosts scored Zach Kassian (23), Connor McDavid (43) and Leon Draisaitl (53, 56). Kempe (62) scored the winning goal in overtime.
The score in the best-of-four series was 3-2 in favor of the Kings. The next match in this confrontation will take place on May 12 in Los Angeles.
