Ukrainian goalkeeper Andrey Lunin went with Real Madrid on a pre-season tour of the United States, the press service of the “creamy” in Twitterreports Ukrinform.
During the pre-season, Carlo Ancelotti’s team will play Barcelona (July 24), America (July 27) and Juventus (July 31). The Blancos have 28 players.
Last season, Lunin played four matches for the Blancos first team in all competitions and conceded four goals in total.
Earlier it was reported that Real Madrid wants to extend the contract with Lunin. The current agreement between the Ukrainian and Madrid expires in 2024. In 2018-20, the “creamy” loaned the Ukrainian to Leganes, Valladolid and Oviedo.
As Ukrinform reported, Real Madrid could loan Lunin this summer. A number of Spanish clubs were interested in the goalkeeper’s services, including Villarreal, Elche and Espanyol, as well as the English West Ham and the Italian Lecce, but the Ukrainian will remain in the Madrid club next season.
In the 2021/22 season, Real Madrid won three trophies. The team of Carlo Ancelotti became the champion of Spain, the winner of the Champions League and the owner of the Spanish Super Cup.
