Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag: there was no good culture at the club before I arrived
MOSCOW, September 16 – The head coach of the English football club Manchester United, Erik ten Hag, said that before his arrival the team did not have a good culture.
Earlier, Manchester United suspended football player Jadon Sancho from training with the team. Ten Hag said that the player does not work at full strength in training, in response to which the midfielder himself wrote on his account on the social network X (formerly the social network Twitter) that he was appointed a “scapegoat” and urged not to believe the words of the coach. The footballer later deleted this post.
“The team comes before everything else, and in a team everyone has a role to play. There are different personalities and you have to manage them, but as I said, the team always comes first,” the specialist added.
Sancho is 23 years old and is a product of Manchester City. The midfielder moved to Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021 for a transfer fee of £73 million. Since then, the England midfielder has played 82 matches for Manchester United, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists. This season he has played three games.
