MOSCOW, 26 Jul – A man who was beaten on July 10 in a mass brawl during a football game in the United States died on Monday from his injuries, according to the New York Post.
The fight happened in the city of Oxnard (California) at the match of senior teams, which took place on the field of Oxnard High School. A brawl involving representatives of the two teams and fans broke out due to a controversial decision by the referee. Several people attacked 29-year-old Misael Sanchez.
Sanchez was unconscious and not breathing when paramedics arrived and was taken to Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition, where he died on Monday. The cause of the man’s death has not yet been determined.
Oxnard police have detained a 46-year-old suspect in the assault on Sanchez, but suspect other attackers were also involved in the man’s death.
