Daily Mail: Man Utd manager Rangnick arrives for training without a day off

MOSCOW, 15 Jan – The head coach of the English “Manchester United” Ralph Rangnick arrived at the team’s training base, forgetting that he had previously given the players a day off, according to the Daily Mail.
The specialist arrived in Carrington on Tuesday morning after a 1-0 FA Cup Round of 32 victory over Aston Villa the previous day to find no one was at the base.
“He called from his car to ask where the employees who conduct coronavirus tests on football players were, but he was reminded that the players had a day off. Then he left,” a source at the club said. “This situation was discussed sharply at the base of the club. The players joked about it.”
Earlier media reported that United striker Cristiano Ronaldo is dissatisfied with the work of Rangnick and may leave the team. Later, the Portuguese said that the team’s head coach needed more time to implement his ideas.
Rangnick was appointed as Manchester United’s interim head coach on 29 November 2021. For the sake of working in the English club, the German specialist left the post of head of sports and development at Lokomotiv Moscow.
