Football player Ezequiel Garay refused to renew the contract with the Spanish “Valencia” and will leave the club, reports Mundo Deportivo with reference to Radioesport.
The 33-year-old’s contract with Valencia expires on June 30. According to a source, the Spanish club offered Garay an agreement with a salary of 2.7 million euros with the option to automatically renew the contract for another year if the player had 20 matches in the next season. Garay declined the offer. This season he played 23 matches.
Garay moved to “Valencia” from St. Petersburg “Zenith” in the summer of 2016. Garay was one of Valencia’s footballers who contracted the coronavirus.
The championship of Spain was interrupted due to the coronavirus in March, the resumption of the season is expected from June 12.
