Medvedev on the loss of the first line of the ATP rating: it’s logical, there is no reason to cry

MOSCOW, 19 Sep – Russian Daniil Medvedev called the loss of the first line in the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) a logical loss and noted that there is no reason to cry because of this.
In the updated version of the ATP rating, Medvedev is on the fourth line. Spaniard Carlos Alcaras, who won the US Open, topped the list for the second week in a row.
“So it’s just logical. I have no feelings about this, there is no reason to cry. I can only tell myself that I need to work better if I want to take this place in the future,” the Russian tennis player added.
Medvedev is 26 years old. He is the winner of the US Open – 2021, the finalist of the US Open (2019) and the Australian Open (2021, 2022), the winner of 14 ATP tournaments in singles, the owner of the Davis Cup and the ATP Cup as part of the Russian team.
