Maradona’s record-breaker Messi thinks Diego would be happy for him

MOSCOW, 1 Dec – The captain of the Argentina national football team Lionel Messi, who became the team’s record holder in the number of matches in the world championships, said that the previous holder of the record, Diego Maradona, would be happy for him.
On Wednesday, the Argentina national team beat Poland (2:0) in the final match of the group stage of the World Cup in Qatar. Messi made his 22nd World Cup appearance and broke Diego Maradona’s national record of 21 appearances.
In the 1/8 finals of the World Cup in Qatar, the Argentina national team will play with the Australian team. The match will take place on December 3rd.
